Im getting so annoyed!!

My oh's family said from day 1 they wanted to buy the pram, however now they have said they are not getting it till a week before!!

Im so organised and wanted EVERYTHING to be in place and ready to go at least 5 weeks before. Im stressing so much over this and I know its silly.

Im so tempted just to buy it. I know im probably being a tad unreasonable but Its so annoying.

They've already got 3 grand children and my OH has got a kid from a previous relationship. They cant understand that ITS MY FIRST BLOODY CHILD and I want things the way i want them!!!

They are making me feel like my little one isnt as special and she can wait. After my show last week how do they know she wont come next week!?

My parents have been so so so so so supportive and have given us the money to go and get her cot whenever we're ready, they just want me to be happy and not stressing.

I just wanted the pram so I could get used to putting it up and down, getting it in the car etc.

His parents live over an hour away so if she comes early... what are they going to do? Drive the car seat over for her to come home in? I know i sound stupid cause if shes early she probably wont be coming home for a while but still its driving me crazy!!

My oh's step mum and sister seem to think they are taking her to get her ears pierced when shes 6 months old no matter how many times ive told them they arent. I just feel like their trying to take over

awh I hope you are ok hunni! I would just explain to them that you think it is a wise choice to get it early due to you having the show etc! Like you said it is levaing it till late and like me you want to be organised! Which is the best thing isnt it?

I know what you mean about then taking over! Mine went to India yesterday until 6th april and guess when her first grandchild is due 7th April but she thinks its ok as all first time mums go over there due date!!! How does she know she is a f**king midwife

But like I said darling have a chat with her!! What pram are you getting I need some help!!! I hope your not too stressed your mean to be resting misses!

aww hun I understand how you feel, I too want everything in place and we have our pram (in next doors garage!) and car seat all ready. It was actually my OH that was flapping about the car seat and getting it early!

Is the pram you like in the sale at all? You could say that it is and need to get it ASAP? or say that you'll get it and they can pay you back the money?

As for getting her ears pierced at 6 months its your child and you have the right to put your foot down on that one defintely!! For me that would be a definate no no

I agree with lisaspoon. Def a no no to the ears if its not what you want (i wouldn't either but you do see so many who do and i guess thats there choice - i haven't got mine done and i'm 34)

As for the pram do they even know for certain they can get it when they want as i think some shops you have to wait for it to be delivered. We got ours from kiddicare which if in stock has next day delivery but most places have to order it i thought.

dont you need parental consent for ear piercing? i know i did and i was 12 lol

just be clear that shes not having her ears pierced until she decides otherwise, as for the pram, id just buy it, if they dont like it tough t*ts to em, shes your baby, im go back to tri 2 now

oh god i know exactly how you feel.

I have had the same thing with my OH's mum - and she hasnt' bought us one thing yet. I have got everything as its my 1st baby and I am so organised and excited.

I don't know whether she is leaving buying things till the baby is born as she is superstitious or she just isn't bothered as she spends all her money on her other grandkids. I just don't get it! My mum has spent a fortune bless her.

MIL is supposed to be getting the moses basket - but I will believe it when i see it. I also am very tempted to buy it myself but have been accused in doing this in the past of not letting them buy anything and rejecting them!!! er hello??? put your money where your mouth is then!

This really wound me up and has done my head in.

anyway - i don't know why they are leaving it til the last minute - i can just see it now, baby will have nothing to sleep in when it gets here and I will be furious!!

don't know if it would work but could you suggest going shopping with her to look?
definitely worth bearing in mind they have to be ordered from some places- we ordered our pram and car seat and were told it taks about a month for delivery

My MIL is hard work and she never consults me with things like this just decides what she is getting and gets it no matter if it is needed or wanted I would say to her that alot of people are having to order up to 6 weeks in advance atm cos of the credit crunch places aren't keeping alot of stock in and if she can't get it now you are going to get it. Get your OH on board too hun
As for the ears thing my 4 1/2 year old does not have hers done and won't do until she is old enough to understand and want them done and if my MIL or anyone took her and got that done behind my back that would be the last time they saw any of my kids outside of my supervision. Might be worth checking with Claire's or a local jewelers to find out if they check the parental consent and who the parent is could your SIL be devious enough to say it is her baby to get them done? If you think they may be able to do it then they don't get to take YOUR baby out without you or OH with them.
