:x I just have to get this off my chest otherwise I will explode! I am so fed up with people telling me how to look after my baby, it drives me crazy! So many people keep telling me I am doing something wrong just because Fin cries sometimes, it is ridiculous! I wouldn't mind suggestions but when I am being ordered to do things from the dark ages! Anyone would think I hadn't done any research myself and I am with my baby 24/7. Sorry ladies I just needed to moan before I upset somebody lol...... :D

I totally get what you mean hun! People drove me crazy on my trips back to England. Advice is fine its the unwanted thinly masked criticisms that got to me.

Just tell yourself you are a good mummy and ignore them!

Fook em hunnies, i go by the book with most things for hope and all i get is 'you dont have to be perfect witht this stuff' I just tell em it aint their baby or their decision so i am gonna do what i feels right and hope seems like a happy girl so i just dont listen to em, you are obviously are doing it right coz you have happy bubbas so dont listen to em xx

i know the feeling.

I used the, "oh i will try that" (whilst what they said left my brain! ha!) or the "i will ask/mention it to my GP/HV".

its just people trying to be helpful  pitty they don't know that them making you a cuppa is more help

YOu are a fab mummy!!

in one ear and out the other!!!
so long as Jamies happy with what Im doin i couldnt care less!!!

im forever getting told i am doing things wrong with B even after 17 months really gets to me

I'm not alone then! I guess this happens to most of us, but it's like people want to take over and I get really possessive lol!

My MIL is terrible for telling us what we are doing wrong. When Emma was tiny, she said that we were spoiling her by cuddling her and that she needed to sit in the garden in her pram by herself all afternoon

Ignore them all hun, you're doing a great job

Im very lucky knowone has interfered I sort of know what im doing anyway as my mum has 3 litlle ens so ive had plenty of practise :) , tho I know if I wasnt breastfeeding id be moaned at

But things have worked out just how I like it.

Tho if I wer you id just smile and say yer yer sure ok  and just let it go in one ear and then out the other :)

I know the feeling hun and you just dont know how to tell them politely lol well come on here and have a good moan! thats what i do! :rotfl:

I found that so irritating when I had my first baby. Thing was found one person would tell me one thing and one person another.
DD also had a kind of reflux thing where she would be sick all the time and I kept getting told - you are giving her too much - you are not giving her enough - are you winding her properly - is the milk warm enough - is it too warm etc. and no matter how many times I told them that the hv said it would get better when daughter was walking they ignored me.

BUT - with second child people left me alone - as a consequence I was more relaxed and more confident.

I do think thought that people should mind their own business and only give advice WHEN it is asked for.
