Grrrr,annoying family!

Sorry this is just a moan, but I am so fed up with my mum and sister making comments about me being fat,looking like a frump and generally just being huge!
Seriously, why do they feel the need to comment? I wouldnt mind but I know im not that big. Everyone else comments on how neat my bump is and at 5ft 8" and weighing 11 st 6 lb (I have put on 1.5 stones so far) I really dont think thats too bad for being 6 weeks away from giving birth.
I know my sister does it because she is jealous. I have always been the tall,slimmer one of the family, so she likes that she is skinnier than me now, but I never made any comments to her when she put on 3 stones when pregnant. Just does my head in a bit that my mum seems to be encouraging it. Its getting to the point that I really dont want to be in their company.
Am I over reacting to this, or is anyone else feeling this way?
Im proud of my bump and enjoying being pregnant, so why cant they just shut up and leave me be! Grrrr, sorry, rant over!!

eek, I'd hate to think what they would think of me! I'm 5'9" and weighed 12 stone just before I got pregnant and I don't consider myself to be big at all (well except for the large baby bump i now have).
If it were me, I would tell them both to back off and let you enjoy your pregnancy in peace! Keep being proud of your bump!X

if i was you i would secretly enjoy it, rub it in their faces when u have the weight dropped off in no time! Rejoice in that! Never mind them, dont let them hinder your enjoyment of your last few weeks of preg and concentrate on the new life you are bringing into the world xx

I had a row with my mum on FaceTime the other night cos she took one look
At my face and said "hello fatty" .. I think it's uncalled for! I already feel like shit dont add to it please

She also commented that I've put on weight all over, when realistically I know I haven't put that much on! She

Unfortunately my mum is one of those folk who like to put others down to make themselves feel better

Rise above it, you know you look great, and like you said they are just jealous! X

I was introduced to a friends girlfriend yesterday (skinny, blonde, legs up to armpits) and having never met the girl in my life she said "Bloody hell, you're huge! I can't beleive you still got 3 months to go!"

How she didn't get a slap I will never know. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Regardless of your weight hun you are doing something magical.... It's unfortunate that both your mother and sister are being like this because they have gone through it! If it is upsetting you I would talk to them about it. Pregnancy is hard enough without close family being unkind too xx

Gotta try and ignore their comments i guess, I'm sick of hearing the same thing!


I had a women ive know along time who i havent seen for a while shout at the top of my voice in the middle of town " Ow Fatty!!!!!!!" I wouldnt have minded but she is still fatter than me and i'm pregnant lol!

I have put about 2 stone on so far but i am only little at 5ft but i AM MEGA determined to get back to 9st my pre pregnancy weight and back into my size 10's!

My mum calls me fatty, but I know she doesn't mean any harm by it. If I let it get to me I'd end up far to self conscious!! We'll see who's fatty when am back in shape by christmas!! x

Amylize, how rude of that person. I really dont know what gets into some people,that they think its acceptable to do things like that. At least you know your weight gain is for a good reason and it will all drop off again once lo is here!

It's so annoying when people say things, but like everyone says just brush it off, your weight will just drop off and like you say you haven't really put anything on so there's no issue and then you can just smile sweetly...xxx
