Hi,

I've just popped along to rant because I think only you ladies would understand... OH finally agreed to trying for a baby once we've been married a year (November) and we're delaying for very sensible reasons but I'm going crazy! Names lists, day-dreaming - I'm aware it's not healthy. If I'm this bad now, I can't imagine how I'll be if it takes a year (or there's a problem and it doesn't happen).

I thought I could control the crazy alittle by directing it towards preparing and getting to know my cycles over the summer (temping etc.). Except now, my period is 5 days late (not pregnant unfortunately - although I'd have a hard time convincing the OH that an accident at this point was a co-incidence! And I doubt it'll be that easy) and I generally have a 28-29 day cycle.

I know it's likely just to be stress or the cold which has been bugging me for a week or so. But I just want to get started! It's so frustrating!

I completely understand! My head says it's sensible to wait for good reasons we have too, but everything else in me is either really eager to get started to get to the baby part sooner, or worried there will be problems so I just want to know to starting dealing with them! I'm going off the pill in 2 months which shouldn't seem as long as it does, but in those 2 months we'll be going on holiday and moving in together, so hopefully it'll go by quickly!

Hi,

Im in the same situation, there are lots of reason, but the thing is that there will always be reasons to delay because becoming a parent is such an important step in life. We are all worried if we can do it, and do we have everything for that. My husband and I have been delaying too because of the finances, but then we decided that money will never be enough so we should do it.
And anyway, lots of people have unplanned babies and they do just fine.
