another failed attempt last nite! this time i didnt chicken out and we got as far as penetration occuring (but not the whole length of it lol sorry tmi got it about halfway in if that!) but it was painful, i was gutted! tried a few times but gave up in the end. it wasnt a tight stabbing pain like losing ur virginity it felt more like a burning grazing sort of pain.

grr i dont understand. if i was grazed inside wouldnt that be healed by now as the outside tear has? the bit where stitches were is not sore. why should anywhere else be sore? does it heal slower inside or something? or is there something wrong?

i guess it could hav been dryness causing it but i doubt it! it shouldnt hav been a problem in the first place as i REALLY wanted it! and anyway we used LOADS of ky.

grr felt like a failure and i'm frustrated!

Aw it's so frustrating isn't it? The same thing happened to me, I healed tighter than before I gave birth! It made it really uncomfortable for ages, it's still not right now but we're still trying and it gets better every time. Keep going for it, try to go a bit further each time and keep using the lube. I hope your OH is sympathetic?

Give yourself time to heal, its still such early days yet, it will be ok though, ad dont forget you are at your most fertile (apparently) just after having a baby

I am having exactly the same kind of probs and Kate is 8 MONTHS OLD!!! I have been to the docs, (3 weeks ago) and he said I have keloid scarring where my episiotomy has healed so he burned it off with a chemical pencil thingy and told me it should be fine. The thing is - it isnt! It feels like a really bad burning/ripping feeling every time we attempt it, and lube stuff makes no difference. I am despairing now cos I have no sex drive whatsoever because of the pain. I am going to have to go to the docs again and I think he said the next step is a gynae referal to have a minor op to correct it.

Apparently you repair from the inside out. A month isnt a long time to heal, it will take longer than that.

I saw my consultant today and was told i havent fully repaired yet but i could try sex if i wanted but to take it easy cause it will be pretty uncomfortable but the best idea would be wait till i have seen the physiotherapist next week as if there are any problems they would sort them out then.

I must be a lucky bugger then, I did the dirty deed after 2 weeks. Was gagging for it after 1 week
TMI but it did feel a little looser the first time but feels normal now. I did get a bit of pain but it was after sex not during. Everythng is fine now though, only problem now is when we get to do it Catch a quickie while Josh is on his jollies an Seb is sleeping whenever we can while he is off work lol.
Try not to worry too much about it, sometimes the thought of what pain you might get may be getting in the way just relax and see how things go. You dont have to have full sex to get your kicks
