Growth Scan Today..

Got a growth scan today because I'm still measuring behind anyone had any experience of this?

I have and the baby was measuring fine just my bump was small. It still is. x

Baby usually is an ok size just bump measures small because of how they are lyin etc. Im having a growth scan at 38weeks but because they think baby could be big so the opposite to you. Hope it goes well let us know how it goes x

I had a growth scan with my 2nd, they thought she was going to be small, like under 7lb so we went out and brought tiny baby clothes and when she was born she was 7lb 7oz, a midwife at the hospital a few weeks ago noticed it on my file and said they dont really work properly due to the way baby lays. wish i had of known that last time lol.

I had one last week as my bump was small...turns out I dont have as much fluid in there! A few measurements from bubs were below average but nothing to worry about too much.

Yes, its likely I will be induced on or after 37 weeks. I dont want that but you have to put your faith in these people that they know what is best x

Yeah I really don't want to be induced either but if it's for the best not exactly gonna argue I've only got 24 days from my scan date & 16 from my LMP date, hope they don't decide to induce me today, don't think they will though.

No I dont think they will. There would need to be a major problem for them to do it there and then. As long as bubs is happy enough they should let you go. thats what im hoping is going to happen with me x

Just got back from scan, everything's brill measurements fine apart from she's got really long legs! Haha, and estimated weight was 6lb 9 already!

Yeah, I hope she's not too big when she's born coz my OH was a 10lbER when he was born!!

Just catching up on this thread Hannah, I was small for dates with all of mine and all arrived around 7lb mark or just under, the last one was 5 lb 15 oz, so was thinking your little one might be a tiny bit smaller , and then saw the last thread about 6lb 9ox already!!! at 36 weeks that's brilliant, you yourself must be small for dates instead and she was tucked up under there somewhere. don't worry about her being too big, they can be quite out on the sizing sometimes - good luck for the birth X

wow you've gone from having a small one to having a whooper! Glad scan went well - it just shows that measurements can be inaccurate x

I've got a growth scan in the morning. To be honest I'm not sure why though!!!
All my notes say everything is 'normal' and even the midwife isn't too sure. Nothing has been said to say either he's small or on the large side. I've been put under consultant lead care instead of midwives so it could just be routine but everyone just keeps saying enjoy the chance to see babs again and not to worry...xx
