Growth Scan/Docs

Well went for my growth scan after the MW said I measuring ahead. They've estimated the baby to be 7lb 12 - which is absolutely fine they said. Then I saw the doc and he did an internal and my cervix is still closed he said the contractions last night were normal because I'm close to due date but nothing is actually happening so I'm booked for an induction on the 10th november. Suppose thats not long to wait at all but I really didnt wanna be induced and after last night I was convinced something was happening and I'm gutted that its not so yep thats all thats happening so far. Thanks for all your lovely messages anyway guys really appreciate them!! xxxx

Sorry that things weren't as far along as you'd hoped hun, but u still got plenty of time and it's great that all well with scan and LO! Try not to be too dissappointed xx

Ah that is a good weight and if you are induced on 10th you may end up having baby on 11-11-11 how cool is that!!!! x

That's still over a week away, you have already had a warm up! You may go into labour well before then x

Thanks girls, I know I shouldnt moan cuz I'm not even overdue yet, just couldnt help getting my hopes up after last night. But yeah OH is loving the fact she might be born 11-11-11 and I know I could still go into labour before then. Don't think the doc I saw helped, his attitude was like "dont expect to go before then" lol. xx

sorry hun, it must be very disappointing, but there is a very good chance that you will not need induction - you still have plenty of time! xx

I know what u mean Lauren.....the MW i saw last week was very much of the attitude of 'this baby is gonna take it's time'.........it does leave u feeling deflated. U have a lot of good signs tho so will keep fx for u that it happens soon xx
