Obviously it's too early for me but just wanted to say that I am def going to have this test done. I already have the kit.

hi debbie, welcome to tri 3, what do u mean u already have the kit? is it not a test u request from the hospital? also do u have to be at a certain stage of pregnancy? x

apparently midna looked into this.. and the treatment for it can be quite harmfull. she will have to tell u what she found.. she said something like.. its better for the baby to recieve anti-biotics once its out or something..

I'm on another forum where most of the ladies are in the US. They all get tested routinely there, but when I asked my GP about it they said they only test if you've got symptoms?! I don't know whether this is normal or just that my doctors are crap!

I have my 36 week hospital appointment next week so am going to see if the midwife will do it then.
