Groin Pain!!

Hi Ladies,

I am currently 25+2 and for the last 3 days I have had what I can only describe as a sore groin.

It feels like a muscular pain, similar to how your body feels the day after a work out, if that makes sense. It is worse when I get up after sitting down for a while. Not agony at all but it is making me waddle a little! Wondering what this could be? Im guessing muscles/ligaments stretching and the extra weight/pressure put on my pelvis etc? Any other ideas? xx :)

Hi it sounds like spd or pelvic girdle pain, I had it in my first pregnancy from about the same time. If you google spd in pregnancy you will find lots of info it’s very normal. I know it’s very uncomfortable and unfortunately gets worse the heavier the baby gets. I find it helps to keep your legs together when standing up and rolling over in bed. You can also talk to your midwife about it too. I am 14 weeks with my second baby and I have been having this pain from about 10 weeks already so I’m worried about how painful it’s going to get! I’m going to ask my midwife about it at my next appointment.
