gp or straight to midwife?

not long found out im pregnant. who did u all go to? gp or midwife? i have an appointment with gp on the 28th but heard a lot of people say they went straight to midwife. wat has everyone else done? im really impatient and want to go now x

I went to gp Hun then he referred me to epu x

I went to the gp, who then referred me to the midwife. I think seeing the gp first is better because if you have any questions you can ask them rather than wait for a midwife appointment.

I rang my GP to make an app and they referred me straight to the midwife as they said they didnt need to see me, still havent seen her yet though and its a group session that I attend first (not sure how that will go) xxx

A group session, I've never heard of one of those! Have you got long to wait until your first appointment?

I'd ring your gp first as mine didn't want to see me! I had a group session before my booking in appointment. It's basically to cut down the time of your booking in appointment, as at the group session they give you all the forms that you need to fill in prior to your booking in app. This meant my booking app was only 45 mins x x

hey girls my doctor told me i needed to have my blood pressure took first by a doctor then was booked in for midwife x

I had to see my gp first, then the midwife rings when you hit 8-9 weeks, so I'm hoping to hear from them this week xx

i went to my gp at 9 weeks and am only jkust seeing midwife this week at 12 weeks x
