Hi ladies,
Just going out that I'm pregnant with baby number two. Do I go and see my GP first or do I ask to have ab appointment with the midwife? I can't remember! Thank you x

I never saw my GP again after the initial "I'm pregnant" and her response "make an appointment to see the midwife". She didn't check my blood pressure, ask if I had any medical conditions, or do anything else really. The midwife did all that and booked me into hospital.

I think it depends where you are. My GP surgery took my word for it and booked me straight in with the midwife for when I'd be about 8 weeks. However my midwife is based at the GP surgery so it could differ :)

I wouldn't bother with a GP appointment, they won't do anything. Just book in with the midwife x

I called the gp surgery and they gave my details to the midwife to book in

You can self refer where I am. I did it all online.

X
