When do you book your first midwife appointment?

Last night I got a !! I'm about 2 weeks I've got no idea whats wrong with my brain but I can't remember when you book your first midwife appointment?

When are your appointments or have you already had it? How was your experience?

My first appointment from my first pregnancy wasn't fantastic, midwife was very negative and made me feel really depressed so I'm a little nervous!

I rang up and booked mine when I found out, but I didnt find out till about 5 weeks ish

Maybe call and ask when they like to do it in your area?

Congratulations!!!

They're not really interested until you are 8 weeks where I live but call your doctor surgery to find out when you should call back to book.

Hi Mookie,

i think its different for all different areas. For me as soon as i got my BFP i made an appointment to see my doctor and she referred me for my booking in appointment. If i was you i would call your doctor now and get things moving, the sooner you do the sooner things will get moving!

I found out when I was 4 weeks and I phoned the doctors and made an appointment. He checked my BP and listened to my heart and then he referred me to the midwife and she didnt want to see me until 8 weeks so my appointment is in just under 2 weeks.
