GP given me a diiferent date

my GP has given me a EDD of 18th Jan... 2 days earlier than i thought... i'm not sure quite how she works it out but getting a scan earlier to confirm so thats good....

Hi hun

My GP did the same with me he gave me the 20th Dec. I had a scan 3 days later (I thought I was misscarrying). The midwife then gave me the 16th Dec. So confusing. I wouldn't worry too much about the EDD because it is only an estimate.

I got my 12 week scan on the 7th June cant wait.

Dates can change from the scans to what date the GP first gives you, even at the 21 week scan they might tell you a few days/week different to what you thought. It's only a rough estimate to go on....only about 5% of women given birth on the date quoted anyway. Baby will grow just fine and come when he/she is good and ready! xx

The date the hospital and midwives will all go by is the date given at your 12 week scan. I have a short cycle and I worked out 23rd August, my dr worked on the 28 day cycle and gave me 25th August but the 12 week scan said 18th August and that's the date that everyone is going by. But as Nicola said the baby could have a different agenda and will come out when its ready.

wen i first went to confirm my pregnancy my gp sed my babie was due 27th aug coz of ma periods den i went for a scan den they told me my due date is 17t sept! now i keep on thinking the babies gna cum between aug and sept

thats why its called a dating scan at 12weeks , maybe they will easure your baby. they had to with mine cause all i had was end of oct lol
