Got this on going pain in my head

I have had this pain what feels like a very bad headache but at the back of my head for over 2hrs now. It feels like someone is pushing down on my head & the feeling runs into the back of my neck too.

I'm wondering if its pressure - like a tension feeling whats the cause. It's horrible just wish it would jog on. I had a paracetomol before & thought maybe it was because i had my meds earlier.

It developed not long after i took my meds so i thought this was also what it could be but its still there 2hrs later. When i put my head back & keep it like that for a bit i can feel the blood rush down & it eases the pain. So wondering what it is ???

If i still have this by tea time i am going to ring my gp because it could be a reaction from my meds - i am not sure.

Baby is ok as i have had my doppler out so thats good. Anyone else had this type of pain the back of there head before ?

Sorry you are feeling dreadful - thankfully I don't suffer with headaches so not sure what to advise. It could be tension but if you think it is related to other medication you are taking it would be worth while checking with your docs.

Great that you have your doppler to check in on baby though Mine still hasn't arrived!! I emailed them and they said it was despatched on Monday but the post has been and gone with no doppler...grrr hopefully tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion again.

I suffer with crashing headaches, I have all my life and have had them most days with my pregnancy. If it came not long after you took your meds then there could be a link, so I would agree with you that you should speak to your gp, even if they tell you there is nothing to worry about.

The only thing that works for me is a trip to the osteopath.

For the past few weeks I have been battling really bad headaches, but if you expirence then shortly after taking medication I also think a trip to the GP's would be wise.... On the medications leaflet are headaches a side effect?

Thanks girls. After i posted i layed down & had a power nap & when i woke up it had gone so feeling back to normal.

I think it could of been because i took my meds - the meds are to take for my pregnancy to keep the baby safe i.e recurrent losses. Never had that feeling before after my meds though - just felt sick any other time when took my meds all at onec but this time got a headache. Or its just pregnancy hormone triggering a thumping head pain. But all is ok now

If you get it again and don't think it's related to your meds, it might be a blood pressure thing. Or maybe you were just tired! Glad you're feeling better now xx

Thanks hun. I had my bp done yesterday at my midwifes appointment & it was ok. If i get it again after my meds tomorrow then i will speak to my gp about it tomorrow over the phone. I think it could of been because i needed a sleep as i felt better when i woke up. xx

I have had headaches all the time recently and sometimes it does seem to go down the back of my neck too. I would mention it though just incase it is related to your meds. Glad it's eased off for you now though.

A couple of weeks ago I was getting quite a few headaches but they have eased off now. Midwife says headaches are common in pregnancy and to drink lots of water and take paracetmol if needed. x
