Got my scan date through.....

Got an ultrasound scan next Thursday to see if I have PCOS. Slightly nervous. Also had some more blood tests today too! So happy at how quick the doctors have got the ball rolling. Been ttc for nearly 11 months so thought we would be turned away. In the last 3 weeks I've had two blood tests, hubby's had a SA test and got a scan date through- really thought I'd have to wait until after Xmas for scan so pleased that it's before! X

Thank you! If I haven't got PCOS then goodness knows why I have such irregular cycles! I was so shocked to get it through so quick x

Was your PCOS diagnosed through the scan or was you diagnosed before? I hate hospitals so nervous! Don't know what to expect and then don't know what happens if I find out I have got it etc- will I get help offered ttc? X

I had my bloods done first which pointed to probably having pcos so the scan was to confirm it. She took one look and straightaway said yep pcos!

I think offering clomid will probably be the first step whether or not you have pcos if you aren't ovulating regularly. I'm in the middle of my first cycle and just ovulated today for the first time ever!

Ah that's amazing news! Fx you get a bfp this month!! I've read a few Clomid success stories! I had a blood test done last Monday which came back normal so was totally shocked but doc wanted me to do another one. I had random discharge and bleeds over 4 weeks so didn't know when of if a new cycle had started! I had a 2 day bleed 15 days ago and my blood test was taken 2 days after it started and doc said results are normal for someone who's just had a period so figured that I'm on a new cycle- which made my last cycle 74 days! She did mention Clomid but she said I would probably need to have my tubes checked before they give me that as it's pointless if there's a blockage! Who would have thought ttc would be so difficult! X

Got my scan tomorrow! Slightly nervous about what the results are going to be but I suppose if I am diagnosed with PCOS I can take the next necessary steps- if I've not got PCOS then goodness knows what happens next x

Thanks ladies . Just got a solid smiley on my cb advanced ovulation tests on cd21!!! Shocked as my last cycle was 74 days! Probably because I've stopped stressing about not conceiving and relaxing as I know tests are being done to help us! X

Well had my scan and I have PCOS . She kept asking me when my last period was and I said I had a 2 day bleed 21 days ago so if that may have been my period and she wants me to see my doctor in 7-10 days. Is that normal for her to say that? Was surprised she didn't want me to see them as soon as. My blood test results still aren't back that I had done on Friday although i now know what the results would have said.
Is it possible that she saw I was coming up to ovulation or have already ovulated? X

I would imagine if you'd just ov'ed or were about to she would have said? She would have been able to see that I think

Sorry to hear it is pcos - but to look on the positive side, you have got your diagnosis quickly and that means you are much closer to treatment and so your bfp! Fx for you xx

Hopefully I am about to ovulate and maybe she didn't want to get my hopes up. Yeh atleast I've now got a diagnosis and can take the next necessary steps! Onwards and upwards x
