Finally agreed .....

Although not original Italian, they have modern connections lol

For a boy -

ROCCO or DINO

For a girl -

MILAN or SOPHIA

Got a little boy Lucca and the surname is CALEINI

What do you like ?

Sorry ..but did you know Milan is generally a boy's name - it's the east european equivalent of Michael ?

My dad and brother are both called Milan :D

guessing the female equivalent is Milana?

The region where my family originates it is a girls name ??

how weird I've always known it as a common boys name :D

Hi Libs,
Not saying there is any right or wrong answer on this, were are your family from ??

Rgds

Croatia :D but its common throughout the eastern european countries (I have to watch the football matches and it comes up a lot :rotfl:) I've also heard it amongst asylum seekers/migrant workers locally.

I didn't realise it was a traditional name for you sorry - with you saying they weren't traditional but a modern slant, I wondered if it was after the city.

BTW I used to know a Rocco - he was v good looking and v 8)

Hi Libs,
Yes my family are from Italy, and I too knew a very nice Rocco lol...
I have to be careful, because theres huge pressure to name the baby in keeping with the origin.

Thanks for the info, bye the way are you opting for original names ??

I wish you well in your pregnancy

Guadagnia

Not croatian names no

I don't even have one - actually I have an Italian name :D

But we do tend to use unusual names - but the one we want is an old english name which isn't used much anymore :D

I love Milan for a girl..its different and original and its strong for a girls name
