Croatia but its common throughout the eastern european countries (I have to watch the football matches and it comes up a lot ) I've also heard it amongst asylum seekers/migrant workers locally.
I didn't realise it was a traditional name for you sorry - with you saying they weren't traditional but a modern slant, I wondered if it was after the city.
BTW I used to know a Rocco - he was v good looking and v 8)

Yes my family are from Italy, and I too knew a very nice Rocco lol...
I have to be careful, because theres huge pressure to name the baby in keeping with the origin.
