good present for a 1 year old

Hi can anyone reccomend a good toy for a one year old, Judah is 1 soon and i cant think of anything.
I got him the leap pad little touch computer thingie and he ripped the book in 2 mins so its got to be something that cant be ripped easily or bashed etc ebven though the leappad is aimed at babes over 9 months.
What about that dancing iggle piggle is that worth 34.99?

I've just got Dan a vtech first steps baby walker.

Its for ages 6-30 months so it grows with your baby.
The white bit with all the buttons comes off so they can play with it on the floor. Its got music/alaphbet and numbers. Dan absolutely loves it. £25 from mothercare but you could probably get it a bit cheaper if you have a look around.

WE have a tractor from elc which is big, plastic and says 'its tractor time'. Pretty simple but Joe loves it.
