Hi Girls,

My cousin (who i am very close to - and was actually meant to be bridesmaid for) is getting married mid August.

Do any of you girls know of any maternity web sites that sell any special occasion dresses? I have looked at the usual sites and the dresses are really boring and "mumsy"....starting to panic now!!

Isabella Oliver has the most lovely maternity dresses although they are not very cheap at all. I know they do go on ebay though so may be worth checking there.

My sister is getting married 9th August too..... Im due Sept 12th so Im going to be hooooooge!

I have got a dress from Peacocks because I'm cheap like that its green pokadots and really funky but I have got a size 10 instead of a usual 8 and its like a really loose style one tight around the boobies and then loose around the tummy so I know it will fit. I always shove a pillow up them when I get home to check for space haha!

What about maxi dresses that type of thing no matter where I have looked I still hate maternity clothes even the really expencive places none of them seem fun and pretty.

Thanks Mildly and Nickilubs,

Just had a look on the website suggested and they have some fab dresses (it is expensive but then again it is a wedding!).

The dress size bigger and the pillow idea I had never thought of! Good thinking! I will try it - so instead of trying/buying a size 10, a 12 /14 should do the trick...

thanks for your replies and suggestions - I will get shopping!!

I think next do maternity wear but most of it is pretty boring daytime wear. There are a lot of floaty dresses around but if you have a bump dont they ride up at the front? Im not big enough to know yet.

Thanks Keeley!

Some really useful websites - have not heard of these either!

Will have a browse...

I looked on the top shop website for maternity wear and it was utter crap. There is definately a space in the market for trendy reasonably priced maternity wear if anyone decides to set up a business!!

Hi hun, I went to a family wedding at the weekend, it was lovely spending 2 nights away in a posh hotel :D I wore the chocolate maternity dress from in the Next directory. I got loads of compliments about how stylish and classy it looked and I felt really good in it too.

Hope you enjoy the wedding :D

I've got a wedding in August (my MIL) so I'll be needing either dress or skirt/top that suits. As my OH is wearing one of the wedding party suits and my daughter is being a bridesmaid I need something that's going to be equally posh! I'll be 23ish weeks so I've no idea how big I'll be or what to buy. At the moment I think I'll be waiting till the month before, ordering/buying a few so I can try on and choose the best.
