Going Back to work

Sadly I'm due back in 6 weeks. I still bf first and last feeds and don't want to rush to take these off him just yet. The morning feed will be fine as my early shift starts at 10sm. My problem is late shift alternate weeks which means that 4 night out of 14 I won't be there to give last booby feed. Is it unfair to do this to LO and should I be trying to wean him off this last feed before I go back to work though I know it's gonna b the hardest one for him to give up.

No defiantly not! If you can express lo can still have your milk then u can feed on the rest of the nights, I went back to work when lo was 12 weeks, she doesn't seem effected if she has to take an expressed bottle any time of day, if its something you enjoy then keep going! The night feed is the last one I want to stop!! X

It's up to you Hun, if you and LO aren't ready to stop then I would continue in. As twinkles said if you can express a feed and then feed as and when you can xx

Does LO feed to sleep, is so you might want to practice with expressed a few nights just so he's used to the alternative iykwim. Cxx

Brill girls. Thanks loads. The feeds I'm currently doing are the ones I know he'll drop himself naturally wen he no longer needs them iykwim

He does feed to sleep sometimes but can do so taking bottle too as he's done it on the rare occasion I've been out.
