Godmother gifts

Morning ladies

This post has two parts really

1) I've been asked to be godmother for my friends little girl who is being christening next month, I'd like to get her a special present but not sure what. I'm avoiding silver as I know her family will get her that. Any ideas? I had thought of a crucifix necklace for when she's older but not sure

2) my little girl is being christened later this year and I would like to get each of her God parents a little something special, again any ideas would be appreciated

I'm godmother to my cousin and my aunt got us joint Forever Friends necklaces so my cousin has the 'me'bit and I have the 'you' bit.

I don't think I got anything for my ds's godmother, I'm thinking maybe now I should have

I got my goddaughter some Peter rabbit/Beatrix potter keepsakes, I think it was a cup, bowl, book and something else(can't remember now) I never got anything for being godmother to either of the girls I am godmother to.

For my goddaughter I made a book - there were some poems, nursery rhymes (like the Mondays child...), photos of her as a baby - Inspired by the fairy godmother idea I made three wishes for her and wrote them down on separate pages. Each page was also decorated with drawings so it was colourful.

So she has a lovely personal keepsake that's so different to everything else she got.
