I accidentally posted this in a wrong forum before, but this time it's right ;)

So we are having boy/girl twins and are struggeling with names! We both love Milo for a boy and I think we are pretty much set on it :) Now we need a name for our baby girl... we really like Poppy and Evangeline, though, I'm note sure if I like Evangeline with Milo...
and I'm also just not a 100% sure if Poppy is the right name or not!
Now we came across Blair as a girl's name and I really like it! What do you ladies think? Is it too "out there"? Or would you consider it more a boys than girls name?
And does Blair and Milo seem too much like Gossip Girl? Haha One of the main characters is named Blair and according to my sister some baby that appeared a few times was called Milo, too...he wasn't really a remarkable or recurring character, though..
Honest opinions please, I can take it! haha

Last name will be either Warren or Cole or Warren Cole

UPDATE: I've added a poll to this threat and would love it if you ladies would vote on which of the three names we've picked out you like best as a name for Milo's twin sister!

Evangeline for me. I also really like it shortened to Eva or Evie which I think are really cute with Milo x

I think Blair & Milo go really well together! Both uncommon but not whacky!!

I like Blair but I've always thought of it as more of a boys name

XX

Blair is my brothers name but everyone comments and says its a girls name. It is a very common American name for a girl. When we've been over there they have found it so strange that a boy is called Blair. I personally love it. Whether I have a girl or boy I'll be using it as a middle name. I think Milo and Blair goes great together and no, I don't think it's too Gossip Girl haha x

Thanks everyone for your opinions! I've added a poll and would love it if you voted!
Thanks :))

I voted Evie as I'm not keen on Blair and think that Poppy is a bit too popular at the moment x

I have to say, Blair makes me think of Tony Blair..! but perhaps for a younger generation, it wouldn't, although I think it's quite an american name :)

Evangeline reminds me of Evangeline Lilly (no bad thing) and Poppy would have been among our top picks if it had been a girl. Popular or not! xx

If you opt for Cole as a surname, despite having voted for Poppy in the poll above, I do think 'Evangeline Cole' does flow very nicely off the tongue, and 'Evie Cole' also sounds good (a kinda cool-kid nickname!)

Thanks girls! We've pretty much ruled out Blair, since my fiancé isn't soo keen on it anymore.. so - just like in the poll above - it's between Evangeline and Poppy!
Our children will also both have a middle name. Our son will probably be Milo James. Now for our little girl we were thinking to maybe use Evangeline as a middle name and go with Poppy Evangeline...what do you think?

We always said if we were to have a baby it should be a girl, because there are way more girls names than boy names that we like, since we only had a few boy names we REALLY loved...now it turned out - that actually makes it easier to choose haha!

Love both poppy and evangeline.

But I think evangeline wins on originality for me. However using both does get both of best worlds :)

I'm biased as I have a Poppy and still love it! Poppy Evangeline sounds very pretty x

Thanks ladies for all your input!
We've pretty much decided to go with Poppy Evangeline :)))
So LO will be Milo & Poppy

Adore Evangeline! One of the most beautiful names! Milo and Poppy are very simple and sound more like a dog names for me, sorry((( I would use Evangeline as first name and changed Milo to something more suitable with Evangeline... but it's only my opinion)

well, opinons differ when it comes to names ( and thats good, otherwise it'd be boring) ;) tbh evangeline is in the run again as a first name, i thought it was decided for sure she was going to be a poppy, but she may be an evangeline after all...we'll see :p but we both love the name Milo, so that one's for sure :))

You know what? Both Poppy and Evie go really well with Milo, so it's good either way :)
