i had a funny giddy spell again earlier - they have been getting fewer and not as bad over the last month, but todays knocked me back. I couldn't focus - the whole room was spinning - i really thought i was over them. My head still doesn't feel fantastic, but better than it did. i can sit without feeling like im going to topple over now. I my hands swelled up, i could feel the pulse in the ends of my fingers and it felt like my head was going to explode. i had really thought i was over this :(

Plus on top of that ive got some horrible pains in my lower belly - on my knicker line, to the left hand side. I keep telling myself its just everything stretching and moving and its most prob worse due to it being my 2nd, but it keeps stopping me in my tracks. The pain shoots down the inside of my leg as well. Its painful to walk, I feel like im waddling already!!!

Still got my MW appointment tomorrow, so i will go over all this with her and she should set my mind at rest. not sure if im looking forward to it or not. Im looking forward to hearing bubs heart beat (hopefully), and finding out how the hospital plan to treat me (at the moment, its all been a bit vague), but im worried she is going to be funny with me. I don't know if i should comment on the fact I had to book the appointment or just to put it behind me and get on with it - i don't want a repeat for a 3rd time, so by mentioning it now will help.

ahhh hunny sorry you are not been feeling good.

I get very ill and feel like passing out when im in places that are far too hot with no air conditioning.

I too was having pains in my stomach just above my knicker line and i put it down to stretching pains so think its normal hun

Poor you. I still have days where i get back sharp pains on one side. Then they seem to go, just when i start to really worry.

Hopefully m/w can put your mind at rest tomo - good luck!

Has you sickness gone now totally?

nope, ive been sick every day for months. Im finding im being sick less, but i still have the sicky feeling most of the time. sometimes it just hits me and i have to sometimes run to the loo. I am able to keep food down though which is the main improvement.

I'm getting very sharp pains now just where you describe although on the other side mainly. I had a lot of stretching early on with my first pregnancy but this time it's only just kicked in but boy does it hurt. It's worst when I'm pushing Elliott in his buggy, especially up hills and sometimes even when I stand still for a few minutes it still doesn't go until I can sit down or stand for a long time without moving. Sometimes it's like a wall I can't walk through easily, very painful. I think you can almost watch my bump grow though so I guess that's it.

Could your giddiness by low blood pressure? Mine is very low and I get very very dizzy when I haven't eaten for a while...?

Good luck with your MW

well... after waiting for almost an hour after my actual appointment time  i did see my mw (i had visions of going and not seeing my named mw).

she checked my wee and its clear, she confirmed the pains are most prob where everything is changing (she said that it can be worse the 2nd time around, something about stronger stomach muscles  ).

BP is fine, she had a poke of my belly and thats fine. She found bubs heart beat. I confused alice by saying it sounded like a horsey

I don't need to go back till 24 weeks now. 6 weeks away, but in the mean time ive got a consultant appointment and my 20 week scan (NEXT THURSDAY!!! OOO!!!!).

I mentioned the sickness, but said that im on pills and im dealing with feeling sick. i mentioned the dizzyness and she seemed to just dismiss i as one of those normal things.

Rosebay - my BP has always been ok, but then ive never had it taken at my worse if you catch my drift. it doesn't seem to be effected by if i eat or not. I had it a few times again today, worse than it has been over the last month, but not as bad as yesterday.

I remember the sharp pains. They used to worry me sick. As far as I know it was just the uterus stretching :)
