Getting Faith into a routine???

Hiya everyone!!

I want to start getting faith into a routine but im finding it really hard to put her down without her screaming!!
Also if i have my baby moniter downstairs will it be ok to leave her upstairs??
she is one of these babys that wants cuddles all the time but im wanting to get a bath or something to eat and be able to put her down!
please help me!! lol

heehee you sound just like me when Otis was 3 weeks! I wanted to set up a routine as well cause I felt like every time I put Otis down he would cry . It is a good idea to start some kind of routine but I was kindly reminded by my OH baba is only just 3 weeks!!!
Think at this age when they're sooo young it is fairly normal, I recall putting Otis down on the bed so I could quickly run in and out of the shower , of course by the time I got myself wet he would start crying. Your little lady will get better and soon enough you'll be able to put her down no problem, my OH became know as the 'sandman' as he knew just how to get Otis in the right position so he would go to sleep.
Starting a day time routine which is seperate from your night time routine is a good idea but I won't to rush into anything at this age as they change so quickly, especially their sleep patterns.
When you say having the monitor downstairs which bit do you mean, at this age I would generally make sure that I could keep check on them if not by sight then by sound - hope that helps
Also re putting her down, you might want to try the 15min wait (as kindly passed on by a friend of mine), after LO has fallen asleep wait 15min and then put her down. It usually works IF you can be arsed to wait that long -I've given up on that by now, it did work when he was that young.

i found it easier getting Alfie into a nighttime routine and the day one clicked itself into place, i found doing the same thing every night at the exact saqme time helped, bath clean nappy jamas, sing song bottle and reading a book to him at the same time helped him, to begin with when we put him down he did cry and people will frown on the fact that i did controlled cying very young but by 4 weeks old he was going down straight away and was much more contented and his bed time has stayed the same ever since and hes always been happy (except when hes ill) i never ever left him long periods of time to cry but i also believed that once he was in bed he was in bed, see Alfie klnew what he was doing, very smart my boy but i always conforted him but not by picking him up, then after so long a little feed, and i know people frown on controlled crying but it worked and youve seen my boy shell hes so happy (unless hes ill) and i wou;ld do the same again, but as iv told you faith is your baby people can advise but do what you want to do and the rest will follow

No i mean bring the moniter downstairs but keep checking on her! but have the moniter just incase she crys in between checking her!
