Just realised that I have told my parents and the GP who in turn told the hospital that I'm pregnant ALL on a couple of PG tests.

What if I messed up the tests and got them wrong - I know you can't get a false positive but I've changed my life style and peoples expectations with absolutely no one of any medical standing actually confirming it.

There must be people out there who just go to the GP and say they are PG when they aren't! But no one will know until they do the scan - what a very weird system!

I haven't even spoken to a midwife

:rotfl: sorry!

fancy them believeing you and you beleiveing the pregnancy tests were right!!

lol i think its just a natural fear, once you get a scan then it'll be real.

Ok you just made me laugh and cry whilst reading your post!

I do sound a bit mental don't I! :rotfl:

just a bit

tbh i woke up today and didnt have any symptoms at all, was lieing in bed thinking how will i tell my hubby it wasnt real afterall? got up and as soon as i got up felt sick and bbs started hurting and i'm like oh it is real lol!
I think the sooner i get a scan the better as i am not 100% sure some days myself. Crazy!
I have this fear i'll get my scan and there'll be nothing like there like last time even though i know this time is totally different! :wall:

My doctors surgery were the same! I did one test that said I was pregnant, told the doctor and she just believed me without testing herself! I could have been lying lol!

exactly the same with me. they are probably government cut backs, no more testing! LOL I had my scan this week and thought the same though ive been sick as a pig so i knew to some extent something must be there! People must do it though, carry on as if they are without actually having done a test!

I had the same thoughts as you - what an idiot I'd feel if I had to say "oops sorry no, I wasn't pg, I read the test wrong" but as you can see, I wasn't wrong!

Doesn't stop you worrying tho does it!

I know what u mean , I went to my first scan convinced they were goin to laugh at me and say I made it up !!! I hadn't tho

I know what you mean. I am nervous about my first scan (in 3 weeks) - what if they say there's nothing in there!

Last night i used a doppler for the first time and we found the heartbeat. We also listened to my DH's belly to check if what we were hearing wasn't just a normal tummy noise! So now i am actually starting to believe that something is in there

i've been thinking about this and they should really do a test cos you could claim free prescriptions frauduntly (sp?). plus it would be kind of nice to get confirmation officially.

and my mum said in the 50's they would send your wee off and inject it into rabbits then test the rabbits hormones! i mean if they went to those lengths in the 50's surely they can dip a stick in a pot of pee!

My doc took my word for everything, even asked me if I'd worked out my due date and didn't check

You're right about the prescriptions HH, might bear it in mind for thr future.....................

I'll let you know what my doctor says on Friday!

I'm tempted to do my spare clearblue to take with me as proof! But then really freaked out it will come up BFP (ok yes, 6 other tests have come up BFP and gradually getting stronger and yes, I am a neurotic mess).

Do you get free prescriptions then when you are preggers? Do we get anything else like free bus travel, cinema tickets etc?

Hi guys

Well heres the thing with me, i was at the dentist about 2 months ago, its a cosmetic dentist in my town, only opened but very very good, so as i don't like my own dentist i decided to visit him, ok so checkup was like 70quid :( (well i had heard he was expensive) so i forked that out, and i have discovered that i have a few fillings etc to get done, so went to the reception and was given the quotation which was over 250quid, and i was like holy crap :? , so now low and behold he gave me an appointment to which i had to decide whether or not i was gona fork out that kinda money or not, so now im pregnant and yaye - free treatment, and the appointment is actually this evening, so im glad i just let it run on without cancelling it, so im happy as larry now getting this done for didly squat, though will be a wee bit embarrassed to tell him im pregnant, but what the heck ! !

So Hip Hip Hooray for free dentist treatment, its just saved me over 250quid this evening, maybe i'll just have to treat myself this weekend

Also read that you get a years free treatment after the child is born too so happy days......can't see free cinema tickets though

Lou.

OMG that's fab!

Why oh why did I not get pregnant before now?????

Yeah just get pregnant to get your fillings for free - hilarious :rotfl:
Its fab though - go book yourself in now ! !

I'm gona chance my arm this evening too - u c my front 2 teeth arent' dead straight, they are the exact same as my dads were, i had a brace when i was younger didn't wear it long enuf and they moved back again :shakehead: , immaturity ! ! !
So he's quoted me also for a 16week treatment that will have my teeth 100% straight, whitened - the lot - mind u its over 1k so it blew me away, mmmmmmm just wondering if he would consider having this done for me too  - my guesses are a big NO - but hey if u don't ask then u dont get - he'l probably laugh at me when i ask him - he'd better not though or i'll bite his finger when he puts it in my mouth - see who's laughing then

So even if you see a private dentist, it's still free? I thought it was only NHS treatment - but then I haven't been to the dentists for years, so I haven't got a clue how it all works anyway!!!

Oh No chopsie - don't say that, I'm now wondering should i ring before i go and see what they say ! ! ! !
Its a dentist but they also specialise in cosmetic dentistry too....
I HATE DENTISTS

Just to give you's all a laugh - wait to you hear this : Not amuse i tell you -
Ok so after chopsies reply, i got thinking, ooooh what if they don't accept NHS and i land into the dentist to be told this and end up so embarrassed that i can do nothing else but pay the 250quid....which i don't wana have to do -
- - - - -so asked the lady do they accept NHS and she said yes we have NHS clients, and private clients too, i told her my news and she said oh let me check, then came back and said oh since u weren't registered until september then sorry u don't qualify - , and i said is it too late to cancel? and she said well there probably will be a fine - i said and what would that be and she said well we had u penciled in for an hour / hour and a half so for every 10mins, its £10.00, but if we fill any of that u just pay for the time the dentist is standing idle - not pleased i say, not pleased, i just said well thats ok, just let me know then, i wouldnt' please them to pay them, and why should i when im entitled to free treatment, glad i rang now though as opposed to doin this face to face - (thanks chopsie  )
Thats the job to be in though £10.00 / 10mins.....robbers.
So just be careful you're not caught out like me, i'll just have to go back to my regular dentist although im not keen on him, there goes my weekend treat too :(
Louise.
