I'm a bit worried about this now as i have been feeling quite ill now for a few weeks. The baby feels enourmous, i still have 9 weeks left but i just dont think i could get any bigger.
The main symptom i've had to make me think it could be this is i've noticed im incredibly thirsty over the last week or so and after reading up about it on the internet it seems to be the most popular symptom.
I have made an appointment to see the mw on Tuesday anyway so i will ask her about it then but im worried that the baby will get just to big for my tiny body frame and i wont be able to deliver him myself. |I dont think i could carry for another 9 weeks as it is with my back ready to snap so im just feeling a little worried about things now :(
I dont know really what it is im asking for or trying to say but im sick of hearing myself moaning to my family i think they're getting bored of it as well so wondered if any of you can offer me any advice?
Thanks, Keelie :( x

 Sorry your feeling pants, fingers crossed your mw can reasure you, have you measured bug at any time during your visits? You will be amazed what your body can go through two friends of mine are tiny and had really big babies and they had natural births with little damage. One was a size 6 and had a 10lb baby and the other was a size 8 - 10 and had a 11lb baby. Chin up hun and good luck for your apt, let us know how it goes. xx

Discuss your fears with your midwife. The fact that you haven't been sent for a GTT (normally at 28 weeks to test for diabetes in higher risk mums) makes me think you are at low risk. Also if your urine has been okay each time it has been tested and blood pressure is normal (which if it wasn't I'd imagine your midwife would refer you for further tests) I think you are probably okay. But talking with your midwife will help loads - if you discuss your fears she can help to reassure you and if needed refer you for blood tests.

I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead at the moment but midwife is not worried (and I also had a private scan at 28 weeks which showed baby was normal size and weight apart from her very long legs which she must get from her dad!) and I just have to trust that my body knows what it is doing. Most women only grow babies that are big enough for them to cope with (even if it does feel like you are carrying an elephant around!)

sorry keelie! :(

Hope you feel better soon

Thanks all for your hugs and advice :)

I will talk to the midwife on Tuesday and hopefully she'll put my minds at rest.
I just keep getting this overwhelming thirst and i neet to get a drink NOW!
never had this before. Im ridiculously tired as well but that could be because im aneamic. Seems a bit much to be just because im pregnant.

I think you'd be surprised how much of an effect pregnancy, especially this late on, can have on your body - wht you are experiencing all sounds very normal, just not very pleasant.

The tiredness and overwhelming thirst is very common (I have exactly the same thing at the moment - there's no doubts about me getting my 2l of water a day!)

I hope you start feeling beter soon. Try and put your feet up as often as you can and get other people to run about for you as much as possible.
