Gestation age???

Does anyone know...........

When you don't know when your LMP is and you have a dating scan............if for example, you are 6 weeks, does that mean the baby is 6 weeks or 4 weeks gestation???

Think that means the baby is 4 weeks gestation. Just going off my previous scans and what i was told.
