GD help?

I was diagnosed with GD about 10 days ago and have been monitoring my blood glucose 4 times a day since and not one reading has been over 8, was told this is what they want to keep it from going over.
On Tuesday i have 2 hospital appts, one with a diabetic specialist (doctor) and then one with obstetric consultant - i just wondered what do these appts entail and is there anything i should query with them, i cant really think of much at the moment other than likelihood of having to be induced early etc?
Anyone any experiences?

Hiya. I've just been diagnosed with GD today. I freaked out. Its diet controlled. But have to go to meetings every other week and see 3 different people and have scans xx

So doing my sugars today, before my mid day meal it was 6.1 then I did them again an hour after mid day meal and it was 5.8. Wouldn't my sugars rise slightly. Or us it normal for them to lower after eating? X
