My milk came in yesterday and they already feel like they're going to explode!! Is it advisable to do a bit of hand expression every now and then to relieve the pressure, or am I better off just getting them used to being fed on??

Yes but do it in the shower to avoid all the messiness! Warm shower over your boobs should make them leak anyway, but my mw told me to press them with my knuckles (can't describe it but like pushing hard with your knuckles down your boob) and check for lumps everyday, if you find any put a hot compress on it and do the knuckle pushing thing. Good luck, it should go away soon! X
Thanks Millie. I tried the shower thing earlier, but after an episiotomy I'm finding it hard to stand for long
