Hi all! I’m new and suffer with anxiety so bare with me!
Found out I was pregnant on Tuesday - went to the doctors yesterday’s and he’s advised I’m like due on 02nd July, first midwife appointment booked (8week appt) on 21st November
So anxious that I have to wait this long and since Tuesday I’ve been experiencing mild dull achey type pains down below - almost like very mild period pains or similar to an upset tummy - is this normal? I thought it was from what I’d read but my doctor panicked me and told me to keep an eye on the pain 😞
Trying to stay as positive as possible but so hard! X

I had similar pain around the same time as you, and now I’m 10 weeksish it’s supsided. The pain wasn’t awful just uncomfortable. As long as it isn’t accompanied by unexplained bleeding and the pain isn’t unbearable try not to worry too much, almost impossible I know. Hope you’re feeling better soon <3 x

Hi all,

I been suffering with abdominal cramps daily since I found out I'm pregnant. It feels like period cramps, sometimes the pain becomes severe. But because they ruled out etropic pregnancy with a scan at the EPU.
I was told if the pain got very severe and strong painkillers were not working to go straight to A&E.

I was sent to EPU because I had pain on my lower right abdomen.

Try not to get stressed, take one day at a time.

Hi all I get similar pains however I’m oretty certain mine is due to constipation (sorry too much info)! Like HnnhSrh said, as long as there’s no sign of bleeding you should be ok but if you’re worried call the midwife at the doctors, even though she’s not seen you she should still give you advice, alternatively just call your EPU, they always have midwives on hand to answer questions and worries like this!

I had that almost daily in the first few weeks, some had me running to the loo tk check if I was bleeding. I'm 12 weeks now and only have the occasionally, I'm putting them down to growing pains now. If you're not bleeding my midwife said try not to worry (easier said than done), take some paracetamol if they get bad and try to distract yourself. She said to go out shopping, I said that was dangerous advice for my bank account. In all seriousness though, aches, pains and cramps have been a daily occurrence but have lessened as I've headed towards 12 weeks and I've been told it's completely normal. Xx

Thank you all so much, you’ve put my mind at ease - I did think it was perfectly normal until my stupid doctor worried me! Roll on my midwife appointment!
:)
