GGGRRRRRRR!! Im seething!!!!! i mean fucking seething!!!

I rent my room out to a 'friend', who was a mate of my sisters but since living here we became pals. She is basically a bit cranky and her behavior is becoming increasingly self destructive and disrespectful. No amount of talking helps and she really doesnt know what a real problem is.

wednesday she is up and down the stairs to go outside for cigarette, drinking loads, clashing about till almost 5am. I go into the kitchen and find remnants of coke on my kitchen side, she drank my and OH drink without even asking (in a week and half 3 bottles of wine and 1 litre of vodka)

today i go into her room after i saw the tape measure on her side and it stinks of fags - i mean stinks... now she knows i wont allow smoking in the house, she keeps doing this too ... i have already given her notice that she is to leave in 7 weeks... but that fucking room reeks now and is supposed to be our baby's nursery!!!!!! HOW DISRESPECTFUL CAN YOU GET!!!!

Im livid - i told her its not on and if that room better scrubbed when she leaves and if it smells it will have to be repainted.... Im so angry though I cant shake off the feeling that i want to shove my thumb down her windpipe!!!!!!!

this comes only 6 weeks after a similar episode whereby she kept me awake till 4.30 (when i had to be up for work at 5.30) when i get up in the morning again she has drunk my drink but i open the fridge and its covered in salad cream.. i mean covered - the bottle is coated and there is simply no way that she could possibly not have noticed it looked like she had picked the bottle up and simply squirted it over the entire inside of the fridge!! when i pul her up she denies even being awake and says she was asleep by 12... she is a fucking loon!!!!

she breaks everything, never replaces it, has already cleared out my drink cupboard, replaces it with cheap shit then drinks that anyway!!!!!

tell her you want her out sooner, give her a weeks notice or something. unless u have a contract with her, you could kick her out now. she should be grateful and not take the piss out of you.

i would already have packed her stuff and told her to get out.

Sounds like you will be well shot in seven weeks. I don't suppose you have an official contract drawn up at all do you? Hope she changes her ways in the meantime tho. I'd feel the same as you, she definitely needs to be told.

well she has officially been told - i have ordered her to scrub that room tomorrow - wash all the bed covers and get rid of that smell or she repaints it - i have told her im very angry and its so disrespectful of her. She has said sorry but i said its not good enough she did the same a few months back too.

im so angry!!! this is the last on a very long list of things this girl does...

Get her out as soon as poss hunny, when she's out go in there and take photos of the state of the room and tell her when she gets back that she has to go. If she refuses to leave call the old bill and have her removed.

Some people are unbelievable. My friend has similar problems with her lodger but she's not pregnant and planning to turn their room into a nursery. It's bad enough that she smokes in the house but when she knows that room is meant for a baby its just vile and disrespectful. As the other girls have said, i'd evict her asap. Unless she has a contract you can do what you want. Might make her a bit more respectful for her next landlord/lady.

Find this sort of thing really annoying. She'll probs have some self pitying excuse for drinking and smoking so much but its not your problem at the end of the day and she should deal with her own problems in a more mature and respectful way, not by trashing someone elses home and stealing their stuff. Silly moo xx

the last friend i kicked out was bipolar, suffering from depression, unemployed and had a child that her auntie was caring for as ss had said she wasnt fit to care for him. despite us being best friends for 3 + years she didnt offer me any financial help and i put myself out for her so much so many times, 3am trips to a&e, nights out to cheer her up (i was also unemployed). i took her in when she lost her home, gave her a part time cash in hand job at my work (before i lost that job due to the summer season ending) and she proceeded to lose her job, let me down, continue to sleep with any man possible, buy herself clothes with her dole, eat my food, use my stuff, leave rubbish everywhere and not give me a penny. the final straw was when she virtually moved in her new man and spent all her time in her room with him and stopped talking to me.
enough was enough. i changed the password to my wireless net, she went to stay in her fellas, i told her she had a week to get out and since she felt no need to speak to me i sent it to her as a fb message and unfriended her. we havent really spoken since and i miss our friendship but i will not be treated like a doormat.
