My dog has been very hungry tonight so I grabbed her tummy to tell her how fat she is and I felt a lump  . It's just to the left of the middle and not very big, about the size of an M&M and it don't feel like it's attached. She's fine in herself, no signs of any illness so hopefully thats good. Gonna phone the vet tomorrow. My poor baby

Oh sweetie, hope vets can see her soon and all is well...
I had to take Tilly to vet last week, she had messed in the hall (which she never does) when we were at work, and there was blood in it-I was so upset, I sobbed for hours..got her to vets and she is ok, on anti biotics but its just so upsetting and worrying

My dad found a lump on his doggie a few weeks ago got her to the vets the next day and they removed the lump-it turned out after testing to be cancerous but they caught it really really quickly and Molly is right as rain now, vet praised dad for being so vigalint (sp?) and she is now like a spring chicken, bouncing round everywhere!!

I am sure she will be fine, let us know how it goes at vets xxx

What doggie have you got??

does it seem hard or soft? im thinkingit may just be a fatty lump. Those are really common and harmless. try not to worry. its hard not to think the worse though isn't it.

poor doggy

i hope its harmless and nothing to worry about

Hopefully just a cyst or something, my cat had the same a few years ago on his side and they just lopped it off. :)

Good luck at the vet.

if it was a cyst it would be painful. painful lumps are usually harmless.

ow poor doggy hope its nothing seious let me know how you get on with it xxxxxxxxxxx

It's quite hard. It's not been there long, I groomed her Xmas eve and I would've noticed it when I shaved her belly.Oh told his mum and she said might be hernia, she's a health care woman

Lol no. She's a springer spaniel. She's milking it I think, she's on OH's lap on the sofa  Thanks for all the quick replies

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww good luck! Springers are lovely dogs, hope she gets on ok at the vets

It can be anything from a bite mark to tumor but only a vet can tell you (normally do pin test and if nothing then a biopsy)

Defo not a bite mark. I'm taking her to vet at 5.20. She going to a different practice this time cos I hated the last ones, it was a big practice and all the vets were very young and it was difficult to see the same vet all the time, and all they cared about was money and keep getting you back in after a couple of days for a check up especially as they knew she was insured  A year ago she had an ulcer in her eye, she had 3 operations on it and was going back at least twice a week for two months and cost us £1400  all for an ulcer. It'n not the money I care about, I'd pay anything to make her better but you could tell they were just after the money and didn't really care about her.
