So yesterday I forgot to monitor my GD. It wasn't anything to do with Christmas and indulging. Because I still stuck to my diet.I just forgot my monitor and log book. I have missed a few monitoring sessions other days too. I'm actually worried something will be said. Anyone else had days they forgot? Xx

I wound not worry lv I forget to do my morning once somtimes as I'm all ways running late for work and nothing ever been said other than try to remember next time lol ... I was told by my dB medwife not to test on Christmas day and boxing day and that I could be a little more flexible with my food along as I didn't go over bored... Which has help me enjoy it with everyone els.

What diet do you have to stick to?

They wanted to test me for GD as I have a big baby apparently. They were to late tho and has left me quite worried. Do you have any symptoms?

Just a low sugar diet babe. Only because sugars can pass to baby making the baby grow bigger than normal. I had no symptoms whatsoever. Are they keeping an eye on baby's growth with extra scans? If baby is bigger than it should be then ill need to be induced xx

I know it can be annoying to track and remember to track, but why not set a reminder on your phone to help? It's important for you AND your baby, and you don't have to do it forever.

Twinkle did you know you had GD prior to this pregnancy then?

Nope. No idea. So it was a shock. I had no symptoms. I didn't have any sign of having too low or too high sugars. It will go after the pregnancy. But it could mean I could develops diabetes later in life. X

GTT test. Its a blood test they for glucose levels.

High BMI and also could be due to family history of diabetes.

Meeting today went fine. They weren't even bothered by me missing bits during the day. And when the diabetics person spoke to us about the log book, I filled mine in wrong. But was told how to do it properly. But were still pleased how my levels were. I have a scan on Wednesday and another meeting. The measurements on my growth chart seems like my baby is growing bigger than average xxx

Ah ok. They only mentioned it to me at my last scan, 34 weeks. By then was to Late to test. I have no symptoms and no family history. The only thing is I have a big baby on board!! I wish they never mentioned it coz there's nothing I can do about it now.

That's great your appointment all went well today :) x
