Hopefully gonna wait till Phoebe is 6 months to wean her, but I'm trying to buy odd bits here and there to soften the blow.

So... Just wondered, do we 'need' a baby food mill, like the Annabel Karmel one? Its £8 from boots. I can almost get it with my Boots points but wondered if it was worth it? Or is it just one of those things you buy and never use?

Cheers :)

i like her stuff but i wouldnt bother id just get a cheapy blender from a supermarket store. and depending on how much you intend to freeze large ice cube trays. On a kyran food shopping day i'll buy a bag of carrots, brocoli, parsnips, sweet potatoes and a couple chicken fillets and white fish. cook the whole lot blend it all (not together!) then put it in the ice cube trays. can pop out something different then for each meal. i also stock up on baby yoghurts, the heinz packets of baby gravy, loads of fruit, rusks and some of the baby pudding jars for treats and baby cereals. I always buy a stock of different jars to just for if we're out or if he decides to refuse home cook food (which he does alot). babies cost a fortune! ha!

Thanks Sage! That's really helpful :D We already have a blender but AK reckons things like potato go sticky blended?! I guess you could mash it instead tho.

they do get sticky but just add some boiled water to it! :)

I'm actually selling one in my for sale thread

TBH we never used it. I think it will depend on when you start weaning etc.

Lola didn't start eating properly until she was about 7.5 months so we didn't need to use it because she had all her food the same as us just chopped smaller :)
