:wave:Hello Everyone

Me & my husband are really looking forward to start trying for our first baby end of April. We would both like to start getting a little healthier and start taking the appropriate vitamins. When would you recommend to start taking them and what to take as well also any tips on how you all got healthier to start trying?

Thanks in advance :)

I don't think there'd be any harm in starting to take them now. I take Sanatogen Mother to Be.

start now hun pregnancare is a good one to take x

You need to start taking them as soon as you start TTC, especially the Folic acid. I recommend "Centrum Pregnancy Care" they have everything you need in them. You can take them throughout pregnancy.

Has anyone's partners taken the men's prenatal vitamins at all or are they a waste of money? Xx

I would say to start taking them now as its recommended for three months before. I take the pregnacare conception and OH takes the male version, he has only just started those so not sure if they make a difference but worth a try and no harm in having extra vits in the system x

I am trying to get my OH to take the male conception vitamins but so far he's refusing. It can't do any harm can it!

The mens one's are fantastic my DH's sperm analysis showed massive improvements 4 months after starting to take them! it takes about 3 months for any improvements to show in men's swimmers so get him started on them asap!!
As for getting healthier I took up yoga and pilates, started swimming regularly, I'm also on a low carb high protein diet to help with my pcos. I also cut out alcohol and caffeine. I made the changes early on so that it wasn't like I was gonna have to make massive changes the second I got pregnant!! xx

My OH was reluctant too at first, its only after all this time that he is willingly taking them and actually remembering too, he's so proud of himself lol

What about just getting him some vitamins but not specifically for conception, you could buy him some zinc and selenium which are good for sperm? x

take them now.
When i mentioned to my doc im planning a baby next year sometime (and this was last year) she told me to start taking folic acid right away.
I didnt , but have started now been taking for about 3 weeks , will be trying in 3-4 months
