Hi Everyone.

Sorry I keep going on about it, but i'm just so excited. After a long time of having nothing to look forward to...i've just had a new kitchen and bathroom fitted, off on holiday today and best news of the lot...we're having a baby in Oct!!

We're only away for a week coz cant take the wee one out of school for any longer. When we get back my baby will be 7, a month later, then we will be doing some more work in the house and buying stuff in for the baby...so its gonna be an exciting couple of months.

Well, wish me luck for the holiday, with a baby on the way who knows when we'll get another!!

Will miss you's all but might pop in at some point.

Jealous... Wish I was going away abroad! But I am off to butlins in a month or so, so better than nothing I suppose!! Enjoy your holiday, like you said with a baby it might be your last for a couple of years!! Have fun x

Thanks ladies having a great time oh doing my head in a bit with the moaning lool baby jumping about crazy wen im in the heat. :)

thats good ur having great time u wont wanna come bak to this rain x

Well thats me home safe and sound back to sunny Glasgow loool (its pissing down here lool) very sad to be home, had an amazing time, first proper family holiday together abroad, worth all the working to pay for it. Got the holiday blues big time tho and going to book in august for same time next year, only problem is we'll have a 7 month old baby. What do u ladies think about travelling with a baby? We've spoke about it and are sure we can manage gona post a thread here and ask for advice. I need a wee holiday to look forward to.

:)

wish i was off to greece, going to centre parcs at the end of the month but really craving the heat of an abroad holiday, are you allowed to claim that as a craving??

I've just had a kitchen and bathroom fitted too!! my house is a bit run down and all the rooms need work so once they are finished it will be on to replastering the babys room ceiling, getting the electrics sorted and THEN i'll be able to start baby shopping :P

Well my patents live abroad and planning on taking our first family holiday over to see them!! Either in April when baby will be about 9 months or June when he will be about 11 months!! It does seem daunting but I reckon we will be fine and baby will love splashing in the little pool and stuff :) I hope they would be good travellers too as flight is about 4 hours and transfers about 2 hour plus the waiting in between! X

Glad you had a good time! It wouldn't phase me taking a baby abroad, would there really be any difference to here apart from weather? loads of people do it and manage just fine, go for it!

And chances are you will get special treatment as the Greeks love children. :-) Definitely worth doing...

Thanks so much everyone.

I'd love to go to Centre Parks, I've always thought it was about the same price as a hol abroad, im a total sun-worshipper, although, I cant stay in the sun for too long, and I hate when its warm at night, thats why i've fallen in love with Greece in May.

When baby turns 2 thats when you need to start paying a childs price, so i'm gonna try and make the most of it til then. I cant remember if babies are sitting upright at 7 months or not but it would be so cute to see them sitting in the sand.

We've been thinking about maybe Bulgaria for next year, because it would be alot less spending money. I love all things holiday, used to be a travel agent and i just love hearing about other ppl's adventures.

Absolutely no problem going abroad with babies - it's the easiest time to travel with kids :)
Do make sure they have all age appropriate immunisations before going though as not all countries have the same policies on immunisations and you don't want to expose little one to anything if it can be avoided.
