Evening all

I’m 19 weeks tomorrow. Went to my midwife last week and heard a very loud and strong heartbeat - kept kicking the Doppler and spinning round.

However... apart from a few flutters a few weeks ago, I’ve not felt anything!! :(

I keep seeing that some of you are getting regular movements, strong kicks AND can feel from the outside, but I’ve not.

I’m not worried as heard it all and it’s strong (well, last week) and my belly has grown a bit this week. I’m just a bit frustrated as I haven’t felt anything significant yet.

What is everyone else finding at the minute? xx

Hi Pennypie, I wouldn't worry too much, we're all going to feel different movements at different times :)
I've just turned 19 wks myself and only in the last few days have I felt a few bubbles popping etc, this morning I actually felt some mini punches whilst I was laying in bed! It took me a dew seconds to register what it was!

I'm not really waiting for movement at the moment, it's a nice surprise when I realise it's happening :)

Next Thursday we see our bub again and we will be finding out the sex too! Can't wait!

I'm 18+4 & first pregnancy, not felt a thing!

Been reassured that some don't feel anything until 20+ weeks but it's still worrying me. Have a scan 8th Nov and so anxious something will be wrong.

I'm on my second baby and didn't feel anything definite until about 23 weeks so really, don't worry :)

Nowadays I wish mine would stop for 5 minutes!! She's a pain in my ass, lol. (She's doing ballet in there as I type this....)

Before 20 weeks all I felt was like gas bubbles, I was stressed about it at 19 weeks too. You'll feel baby soon. My doc said it's normal to not feel anything until 24 weeks so don't stress.

I can't remember exactly but it was definitely after my 20 week scan before I felt really strong movement and even then I don't think it was as much as others do at the same stage. I have anterior placenta which can make it harder to feel movement.

My little guy didn't really start having consistent movement till week 23. Before that he barely kicked, but I have an anterior placenta too. Feeling movement doesn't even really start for some until week 24. Starting week 28 is when you need to count movements. You are fine <3 I was worried too, but he kicks all the time now!!

I stumbled across your reply on this post and it has given me a little reassurance. I'm 22+2 today and I'm well aware that for first time mums like me, movement is often not felt until 24-26 weeks. I'm also a size 18 so I understand carrying a bit more weight can make it harder to feel the flutters. However, I've really flared my anxiety worrying about whether things are normal and it's starting to impact me enjoying the pregnancy.

Most other women I currently know who are due simialr times have of course all been feeling movement for a few weeks now and whilst I'm so pleased for them, it makes me feel the odd one out and question what might be wrong with me or the baby. I'm so excited to meet the little one (due March) but really finding pregnancy to be a head-bash, constantly over thinking and worrying and doubting things....
