Fleece nappy wraps

I don't get them!

Can someone enlighten me how to use them? Do I need to use cloth nappy then a waterproof wrap then the fleece wrap on top? Surely if I don't use the waterproof wrap the wee wee will just soak through?

I don't actually have any yet but wanted to buy some because I like the colours and designs and they look really snuggly for the winter so need to understand them before i get some!

I'm sure theres a cloth mum out there who can help me out

I've just brought one off ebay and don't know how to use it!!!

Also, do you wash them just the same as plastic type wraps (probably every 4-6nappy changes) or everytime you change a nappy? And do I need to treat it with anything?

right, dont quote me on this as I could be very wrong but it they work the same way as the wool wraps then the wrap draws the moisture away from the babies bottom and allows it to evaporate into the air. I dont know how often to wash them tho. Let us know how it goes

Yep, TD is right!

You don't need a seperate waterproof wrap as the mositure evaporates.

I like using fleece and wool wraps but there are some things you need to consider. They are no good with tight clothes as although they are pretty wet-resistant you can get 'compression wicking' were it can leak through if something's pressing on it tight. Also, they're better for larger babies as tiny ones lie in the same place for hours so you can get the same problem if they are in bed or sat in a car seat for example.

They can be aired out between wears and don't need washing all that much

We'll see how it goes. They just look so cute and snuggly for the winter I wanted to give them a go. Also love the look of wool wraps but thats next time.........
