First period??

I'm sure this had been asked like a million times but...

Just wondering when to expect my first period after giving birth?

My LO is three weeks old today and I stopped bleeding about a week and half ago. Today I've been having really bad period pains - I'd go as far as saying that Its worse than the contractions. So Im wondering if my period is on its way???

Urghhh im so dreading it.

Also do i have to wait til 6 weeks check to book in for my depo injection?

Hi there ive had periods on/off since the birth. its different for everyone but each time for me i started 2weeks after the post birth bleed stopped.

I've not had a period yet and my baby is 5 weeks old tomorrow. I'm going for my depo today too, the doctor was going to book me an appointment with the nurse on the same day as my 6 week check just to make it easier but I said I wanted it sooner and he said that was fine xxx

Ar you bf? Then it can take even 1 year.
If not then any time. I expressed for 2 months. Got my period 1 week after I stopped.

No Im ff LO. I just feel like its on its way cos of this back ache x

My 6 week check is xmas eve and i know it will be a couple of weeks til i can get in for the depo cos of xmas x

I had my first period 2 weeks after birth and I that was with BF'ing! I think it's so variable. I'm not far off the next one now
