Are they more painful or heavier than usual?

I have just started my first period after Sam being born it seems pretty light but has only just started in the last couple of hours.
I just wondered if it would be the same as pre pregnancy or different?

I think it depends on the person, mine was heavy and really painful, plus it lasted for 3 weeks!

Mine were lighter for a couple of months and then just the same.

Well it's def heavier than usual and had a few clots and quite bad period pain.

Does any one know if having clots is normal is it just my body clearing out the crap from birth still?

mine were horrible hun really heavy and lots of clotts lasted for the first couple then got a better every time

MIne has only just came back found it was less painful

The clots bothered me a bit this morning when i saw them.

Mine has been painless and clot-free for the first time in years

I'm just finishing it was only 4 days...

Well, I can now say it has been painful and heavy and I have had a constant headache with it too and felt crap.

I hope they won't be this way every month.

Aww that sucks. I had mine a few weeks ago. I normally suffer with extremely bad period pain and its usually very heavy. Well didn't feel a thing this time and it was quite light. It's probably not going to last though! The next one will probably be back to normal!
