lucy is a week off 6 months!! has been on puree foods for four weeks and i was wondering if i could start her on finger foods? she has brilliant head control and can sit unaided no problems. if she can what sort of thingsshould i start on? your advise would be greatly appreciated xx:)

not an expert and sure someone else will come soon to correct me but i think soft fruits maybe like banana for example? maybe a soft piece of bread, some cheese? soft vegetables or slightly cooked vegetables? one of those biscuits for babies?

I started charley on toast at 5 months then when he turned 6 months gave him things like cucumber and strawberries, bread sticks x.

Thanks ladies will try her on some toast etc!! She seems much more interested in what we are eating!! Xx

Daft question but arethe bread sticks the long dry ones u get in. Italian restaurants ??

Yep :) Lizzie started on the morrisons value ones cos I was eating one and she took it out of my mouth and put it in hers lol!
Also try heinz biscotti for babies, they are brilliant cos they dissolve almost straight away so easy for LOs to swallow before they get the hang of chewing iykwim x
