finally got scan date + got a review with consultant to discuss pre-eclampsia

Hi girlies

While i was at the dentist this morning i finally got the letter with scan date and review appointment with the consultant possibly to discuss my previous pregnancies and the problems that i had with it i had pregnancy induced hypertension with my 2nd pregnancy and then with my 3rd i had early onset pre-eclampsia and was induced at 39 weeks. then with my 4th pregnancy i had pre-clampsia pretty badly and was induced at 35/36 weeks i cant exactly remember the dates. and we had to stay in hospital for a week and had to take blood pressure tablets for 6 months after having Mia.

I'm just hoping that i don't get pre-e again, i was so ill last time i had it and in and out of FAU pretty much every week twice i took myself in due to visual disturbances and a really bad headache with them. they did say when i went for my scan the day before they induced me with Mia that they should of gotten her out sooner to put a stop to the pre-e becoming worse.

I know its 50/50 chance that i'll get this again i just really don't want to get this again.
anyone else had pre-e in one pregnancy and not gotten it again.

Hiya I had pre eclampsia in my first pregnancy was in hospital for a week and then they gave me a c section at 37 weeks with my second I had pregnancy induced hypertension but it didn't develop into pre eclampsia I managed to go to 39+4 with him but I did have a few nights stay in hospital and they nearly delivered him at 37 weeks aswell. So far this pregnancy I'm ok BP is normal but it's normally around 35-36 weeks it shoots up and I end up in hospital. I've got growth scans and consultant appointments every 4 weeks from 28 weeks x

I remember having to go for scan and consultants appointments every 2 weeks with Mia cuz of the early onset pre-eclampsia when I was pregnant with my youngest son. I'll probably more than likely have to do the same again. The nurse at my doctors has said that the consultant will more than likely not let me go to full term due to the pre-eclampsia and the fact I got caught pregnant while on the contraceptive injection. Scan and consultant appointment is on my eldest daughters birthday but I won't get home til after 5 as the waiting time to see consultant is always over an hour. Feel bad for not being home for when she comes outta school

Aw can you not see if you can change it for the day before or an earlier time? Yeah they will keep a close eye on you like they are with me. This baby is behaving so far!

More than likely I'll stick to the appointment. Will be a nice surprise for her to see the scan when I get back from hospital. We haven't told the kids yet that we're due another baby in bout 3/4 months lol.

Only one out of my last 4 pregnancies only my first behaved and had no problems at all. But the others I've had one problem or another. My last pregnancy she even stopped growing due to the pre-eclampsia so I'm destined to have something going on in the pregnancy lol.

Just had another letter come today for an antenatal consultant midwife appointment at a different hospital for next Friday so I'll have scan Wednesday and then seeing a midwife on Friday. Think I'm going to have to phone to hospital which I have my appointment with on Friday to see if I can get in before then as they have to get my notes etc ready for my scan on Wednesday.
