Fifty shades of grey anyone??

just wondered if there was a massive craze for these books were you are as people over here have gone mad for it and its sold out nearly everywere!!
i have managed to order me a copy, to see what they are like for myself

has anyone else read or have these books? are they worth all the hype

Yeah I've read the 3.
They are good but not what everyone is going mad about.

The female character by the end I really didn't like. But they are ok. Go for it.

I've read all 3 too couldn't put them down ! They aren't particularly well written and the relationships is very 1 dimensional ! But a bit of mummy porn brightened up my day !! Xxx

i downloaded them and read into the 3rd one, bit boring tbh, the sex is a bit samey and not that interesting or believable and kinda not necessary a lot of the time i was skimming it to get on with the story. theyre ok but im glad i didnt buy them

Have downloaded them for free on Wattpad. Half way through the first, but nt very impressed TBH. Not very well written at all, but I'll stick with it to the end. Glad I didn't pay for them anyway. X

yeah tbf i think its women who think that kind of book is 'naughty' and it gives them a thrill iykwim? i read things by laurell k hamilton often so im well used to random sex and 'kinky fuckery' to coin a phrase from the grey books. then again they were written as twilight fan fiction by a 50 year old housewife type im told lol. some ppls giddy thrill is someone else's boring same old norm.

I'm about half way through the first book... finding it incredibly repetitive. Not particularly liking Mr Grey to be honest (although everyone else seems to think he's the perfect man)- kind of find it has domestic abuse undercurrents... the idea of obeying and being submissive etc is putting me off. I don't know, perhaps the second half of the book will be better... The author needs to find some new terminology though- there's only so many times she can 'shatter into a million pieces' etc!

so not as good as they are making out then will have to see for myself!! i have previously read a very erotic, porn book and it was fab it was called sex and shopping from the ann summers shop so i shall say no more aparrt from wow if mr grey is crap n ebay it shall go x

There was not one bit written where he just finished and rolled over like the real world. That's the part I couldn't believe.
