Fertility news!

So I had my follow up appointment with my gyno consultant yesterday to go over all our results. After waiting an hour and a half, I actually saw a different consultant and we are now being referred for IVF!!

All results came back normal and as I'm 35 and still trying for baby no. 1 they've said it needs to be pushed to the next stage now. I'm in real mixed emotions at the minute. I came out in floods of tears. Luckily my mum works at the hospital (only reception) and her best friend is the head midwife, so I saw them and I've been reassured that all is ok!!

Our results for anyone with an idea on this are:
HSG - both tubes patent (sorry can't read her writing)
FSH - 6.5
LH - 4.2
ESLIEDIOL - 162
THYROID TSH - 2.37
RUBELLA - immune
PROGESTERONE - 38 (needs to be above 30 to show that ovulated)
SA - within normal range (didn't give a number)

That all looks good! We seem to have unexplained subfertility too, the only issue might be my age, so we're doing IVF to increase our chances of conceiving. It seems weird to have to do IVF if they can't find anything wrong, but I suppose we haven't got all the time in the world to wait for it to eventually happen. Also with IVF they do a lot of it for you, so if something in the process isn't happening, they can see it in the petri dish!

We've started the drugs and I still haven't really accepted it!

Good so far thanks! Got 17 eggs, 8 fertilized, 6 good ones on day 3, day 5 transfer of the best 1 or 2 tomorrow, v excited!

Thanks! I now contain 2 embryos! None spare for freezing which is a shame but we have 2 so that's great! Low to medium chance of twins apparently! Fingers crossed they attach and I get a BFP!
