Fertility friendly lube

Hi so my partner and I have decided to try fertility friendly lube instead of normal lube but my question is the fertility friendly ones cone with an applicator to be applied internally however we only ever use normal lube externally so can I use the fertility friendly ones externally or does it have to go internally. Sorry for so long winded

We've been using preseed

It needs to go internally if you are using it to help conception. I use Conceive Plus. You can buy a tube for the man and pre-filled applicators for you. Or you can use a syringe to insert it from the tube.
