feeling low about turning 30.

Oh you old fart, here have a hug  :rotfl:

Idreaded turning 30, I was fretting sooo much but do you know what, my life changed at 30...

I was divorced @ 29 and felt lonely and horrid. I tried lonely hearts adverts , met lots of cranks then decided just before my 30th I didnt need a man.

2 weeks after my 30th I met OH and now we have the most beautiful daughter (I fell pregnant @ 34 with our first child) and I have never been happier with myself or my life. Something clicked when I turned 30 and I suddenly feel comfortable in my skin and relaxed about everything.

I have a great job I love, a great OH, a fab house, af the most wonderful little girl in the whole wide world!!!

30's ROCK!!!!

p.s I am fast approaching 40 so dont know if I will feel as positive about hiting that milestone  :rotfl:

When I turned 30 I felt really down about it but I git through it ok lol. I'm turning 34 in May  which I think is depresing me more. :rotfl:

On my 30th I went out with my friends and got very drunk...we had a great time. :rotfl:

Probably a mixture of emotions especially with having quite a new baby which must make you tired

I'll be 30 in under a year, though not a daunting feeling. My DH is 34 & I look at him & he has more energy & more fashion sense than me & I'm in my 20's! Can't be all that bad

I'm 33 in a few weeks and often wonder how I made it this far :rotfl:

But trust me, you are not alone in dreading the big 3.0.

29 was my worst year because I felt like I hadn't achieved anything I had wanted to achieve by 30. I think thats the issue for a lot of people as 30 seems like a goal post, a "by the time i'm 30 I want to have this/done that" kind of thing.

But its not like that atall!

I am LOVING my 30's! I realise that I am still very young, that I still have 30 odd career years left to achieve what I want to. That I can still do all the things I did in my twenties but I have more money to do it, and im more mature and responsible so I can have a good time without the consequences I found when I was younger and wilder. I am more respected by my peers, wiser and more insightful, and can still pass for 25 :rotfl: :rotfl:

30's are where it all happens babe, believe me!
