Hi, I have a 4 year old daughter with my other half, my daughter is starting reception in September so I really want to have another baby now as I feel it's good timing. Me and other half have not talked seriously about it but both know that we want to have another child but every time I build up courage to talk about it my other half keeps saying things like ' oh it would be nice to have a little brother or sister for our dd but...' and then an excuse why we shouldn't try now, it's so annoying! I know I need to say something, because maybe hes unsure what I want and doesn't want to put pressure on me :wall2: but i don't want to suggest we try for him to say he doesnt want to , I would be so disappointed 😔

Anyone else in this situation? I need some courage to say something! We wouldn't be able to try for a couple of months anyway but just want to be prepared, and get it off my mind as I'm thinking about it so much!

Maybe it's a financial thing. Or maybe he's happy with just the one? It's worth just asking him straight out rather than dropping hints. Just ask him if he would be happy with another child, and if so, when would he think it would be a good time? It's good to get it out in the open and be honest with each other.
