Feeling blue!

Hi All,

My dh is still in faraway lands so doesn't even know I'm pregnant. Went to dr this morning to get midwife and hospital referral only to discover I've already got high blood pressurre but no protein in urine so that's good. I had pre-eclampsia last time and high blood pressure which stopped my first baby growing so she was prem, so feeling a bit worried now as this is the first time I've had high blood pressure so early. Got loads of cramps as well, so wondering whether this will be a sticky bean.

Dr told me to go home and chill! What with two children under 4, part time job and husband away! Yeah feeling really chilled!

Sorry, long rant just can't say it to anyone else as don't want anyone to know I'm pregnant!

Hi Boaz, how many weeks pregnant are you hun? Ive had bad cramps during this pregnancy and still get them now so I know how worrying they can be but they are normal.

I also had pre eclampsia at the end of my first pregnancy and bad hypertension with my second. My bp this time is higher than it was with either of my 2 boys and I have an appointment with the consultant on the 23rd to discuss my care. Ive had 2 early scans already though and baby is absolutely fine.

Easier said then done but do try not to stress too much. Do you have family or friends nearby for support? My hubby works away alot also so know how that feels. Big hugs to you xx

Don't worry because of what happened last time they will monitor you closely thus time to make sure you are ok

Looks like we're similar again Boaz, my bp is also high and I was medicated throughout my last preg. I had to go to the hospital as an outpatient for a bp check every other day from 34 weeks and every day from 38. I'm assuming it will be the same this time!

Its always reassuring to know others are going through the same things. I'm about 5 weeks according to the doc. Now trying to decide how to tell hubby when he comes home on Saturday night!
