Other than being self employed - which means only v basic maternity pay, I do relief management at a local club - 5 weeks a year to cover holidays. I worked there for years and years as a barmaid when I was a single mum. I also do 2 4.5 hour shifts a week to keep my hand in (doddle - quiet afternoons :D )

Anyway the assistant manager has left. You get paid £9 an hour, only have to do 5 shifts a week - but you have to cover (without extra pay) if the manager goes off sick for a day or has to go to doctors etc. Works out in your favour - manager has been there 17 years and only once has he ever been off sick longer than a day  Plus if he's off sick for more than 3 weeks I go onto my relief manager wages and still get manager wages when he's away (loadsamoney :D ) So they've just called to see if I want the job.....

I wouldn't have got MP off them as I only do 9 hrs a week. Now I will  Guess what I said  Not really evil though I've worked god knows how many hours free for them over the years.

EDIT - btw they don't know I'm ttc

They've just called again to ask if I'll do more hours for more pay...erm yes. Cos hopefully I won't be doing it long and can build up a nice little nestegg :D

 Good for you chick :cheer: Don't feel guilty, think of all the hours you've worked for nothing. Just think of it as getting that money back. Congrats on your new job

Hey and you know what'll happen now?...........New job,new baby :D
