Hi girls,
So I have been having what I assume are Braxton Hicks for the past 2-3 weeks now (intense tightening of the uterus, it'll go rock hard for no longer than 10-15 seconds and then relax, no pain to accompany it or bleeding etc etc), I get them, spaced out, no more than 6 or 7 times a day. This really worried me at first because I didnt think it was normal to get them this early, however, after lots of searching and seeking advice from friends who have been pregnant I felt confident they were normal as long as I had no other symptoms (no pain, bleeding etc). So I go my midwife appointment at my local health centre yesterday and I said I just wanted to double check my BH are normal, straight away she looked concerned and said no its not normal even though I said I'd got nothing else wrong. She took my urine and said it seems highly unlikely that there's a UTI but I was quite dehydrated. She had a listen to her heartbeat, all was fine. I had a contraction while I was there and she felt my belly n just kept saying to herself no no no that's not normal - meanwhile I was sat there worrying my socks. Shes signed me off till Monday because OH was there and said I'd been overworking - true I guess. And she then said she wants to send my urine to the local hospital to be checked.
To be honest, it was out of order scaring me unnecessarily like that unless she def knew what was wrong. And she was extremely disorganised and obviously not listening to a word I was saying; the first thing I said when we went in the room was that I'd forgotten my notes and she said it was fine just to remember them in future. She then asked for my notes 3 TIMES throughout the appointment!!! Honestly, having a baby is no picnic and its a very serious thing so you'd think they'd act like they cared just a bit more. And the hospital here is useless as well, they lost my notes, they lost my blood and urine results, then they gave me the WRONG blood results, I think my shortest waiting time was about 40 mins and receptionist has never let us know when there's a delay or been particularly helpful when I asked her how much longer it's gonna take. Just makes me think what's the friggin point?!
Me and hubby bought a dog on Tues (not a pup, so we didnt have to toilet train etc) a beautfiul husky and I loved him to pieces. The previous owner had a 1 year old and she said they got on fine n just general a very well behaved dog. The previous owner was lovely and said if I have any probs to call her or if I didn't feel it was working I could take him back. He definitely seemed like a good dog, a little boistrous but what dog isnt lol, until I took him for a walk with my friends dog and he tried to viciously attack her..... then the followed morning he went for me!! I was pertrified because he is a huge dog. This woman knew I was pregnant and I don't think this was the first time he'd displayed violent behaviour so why the hell would she let him come with us? OH was not happy, rang her immediately and said we want our money back and (£100.00!) and we want to return him - "oh sorry we're both on holiday at the moment, but we can't take him back anyway. and we've spent the money" she continued to imply that I'd taken the attempted attack too far and even went as far to say I'd made it up. This all happened last night and I just lost it, just sat crying for like two hours - couldnt stop but I've decided I'm fed up with people walking all over and I'm demanding my money back off her!!
I'm so sorry for the essay girls you know what it's like when you just need to get it off your chest
