Could this be done or do you think it will upset her belly too much and ill just be cutting my nose off to spite my face?

I used to do this Angel and I can't say it made a lot of difference. She sleeps through till about 5am (from 7pm) most nights. When she was on 7oz I used to make her an 8oz bedtime bottle using hungry baby milk and didn't make any difference; like now sometimes she sleeps through sometimes she doesn't. xx.

Hmm :/ I'm undecided as what to do then really. My mums suggested trying really wet ground rice as she seems to have stopped getting colic now but I'm really not sure.

Do you mean putting rice in the bottle with her formula hun? Sorry for being thick lol!! x.

My mum meant like spoon feeding her it but I'm not too keen as she's so young still :/ x

Is she waking up lots in the night for milk?? Personally I wouldn't give my baby rice at that age. Their little stomachs aren't developed enough to deal with it.
If she is waking up a lot at night for milk, it may be that shes having a growth spurt if it's not been going on too long.
I did give my baby a bottle of hungry baby formula for his bedtime bottle from about 3 months to 6 months. It really only made him sleep for an hour longer at night and he still woke up for at least 1 feed a night until he was 6ish months old.

I agree with Roo hun I've got a weaning leaflet and they're now saying 6 months to wean but if you do decide to do it earlier never do it before 17 weeks (4 months). Like Roo said she probably is having a growth spurt, Angel can be very unsettled during one. xx.

Mine has 8oz of hungry baby milk at 7pm bedtime and he wakes up at 2am and 4am for feeds, when I breast fed him his bedtime feed he'd sleep right thru lol!! I only started topping him up with the formula cos I wasnt producing enough for a growth spurt and we've just stuck with it but its not helped his sleeping!!

Id say it sounds like a growth spurt and I'd just go with it and give her as much milk as she wakes up for, I wouldn't try and give her food this young but that's just my personal opinion you know your baby best

I'm really not too keen on the whole baby rice thing at her age, ideally I want to wait till 5 months ish and do a mixture of tw and blw if we can.

I do think your all right and it's just a growth spurt. She's just feeding near enough every 2 hours in the day and sometimes only an hour and a half in between feeds so I'll just go with it.

She's only waking up once in the night for a feed. I'd completely forgotten about 8 week growth spurt. Maybe this means she will soon start fitting in her 0-3 clothes instead of newborn still lol

Thank you :)) xx

I tried Josh on hungry baby milk when he was 3/4 months and it just made him constipated.
I defiantly wouldn't give rice though, I think it was the done thing for our parents / grand parents but more studdies have been done now. I weaned josh at 4/5 months and looking back he was too young and I was too eager to try him with food lol. I see people weaning at 2/3 months and I feel sorry for the poor baby :-(
(I know you weren't going to wean her was just saying :-) )

How long has she been feeding this often? Could you try giving her more oz per bottle and try encourage her to finish them, giving her a 10/15 min break to feel full again? Xx

She's only been doing it this last week really so in hindsight I shouldn't have been so quick to worry. She's taken just a little bit more than 4oz which is more than normal but it's like she wants more milk but theres no room for it in her belly. She's burping well and not showing signs of trapped wind but keeps nawing her first but won't take a dummy.

Hmm strange one.. Dylan chews his hands when he's tired, and chews me when he's hungry. It's strange how different and confusing they all are!! Xx
